Making Progress | Its Corona Time - A Game About Coronavirus
Hi there, I'm Adsnipers and welcome to the second DevLog for Its Corona Time!
if you don't already know about Its Corona Time, It's a game I'm working on in hope to bring light to the current situation with COVID19. in this game you along with AI must frantically run around YeEtInG boxes and raiding stores for their toilet paper while keeping an eye out for people who have the virus and doing your best to not catch it yourself.
Over the last few days I've been working hard on the AI and I want it to be done to the best of my ability as it is probably the most important part of the game. I've also been working on the game live and posting these DevLogs as videos over on YouTube :) Click here
Just the other day I spent a few hours giving every object in the scene some good physics, now you’re able to really YEET not only just the boxes. But now the shelves. And any other object that will be added in the future
I really want the game to look good and I'm focusing on quality over quantity. and because of that. the first level isn't even complete yet...
But don't worry, I'm slowly getting there. perfecting each little part of the game to the best of my ability and i can't wait for you all to play it!
I also realized I haven't really talked much about how the game is being made, so here goes!
I’m developing Its Corona Time in the unity game engine and using Blender (Which is awesome by the way) to make the models for the game. And I mean ALL THE MODELS, even the ground.
I’m writing the game in C# (which side note, I somehow find C# easier than Python, i have no idea how. But i do) if you have any questions about how I'm developing it's Corona Time feel free to ask me in the comments and i’ll do my best to respond to everyone.
Its Corona Time!
Raid stores for toilet paper, but stay away from those with the virus!
